About Satori
Satori means sudden enlightenment - that moment of comprehension and understanding that precedes peace. This elusive Satori state is possible and often achieved with psychedelic therapy.
At Satori we believe that life is inherently nonsensical; finding it challenging is a logical reaction to an illogical situation. Thus, rather than seeing mental health and personal struggles as a deficit, we see them as a springboard to a deeper understanding of oneself and a pathway to a happier and more fulfilling life through personal development.This is why we have 4 core pillars in the company: education, vetted psychedelic retreats, integration therapy and a nurturing community. After receiving Pre-Seed funding from Woven Science and Founders Factory in March 2022, Satori is spinning off the incubator at Founders Factory in August and will begin fundraising for our pre-seed round in September with the goal of expanding our operations and building a tech platform to support the business as well as begin collecting key psychometric insights as people move through different stages of healing.About the role
The COO role is a unique opportunity to experience what it really takes to build amp; scale a venture backed business from its early days. Working directly with the founder and CEO (Carina), you will be the most important early stage hire we are going to make.
You’ll need to own all operations from day one, get stuck into executing as well as building a world class operational engine that is robust enough to help us scale.
Key areas of the business you’ll oversee set up:
Customer serviceRetreats managementIntegration therapy deliveryProduct design and developmentCulture building amp; hiringCharitable/Service initiatives Experience you’ll come with - You’ll have worked in one or more early-stage startups in a COO, Head of Ops or Product Lead capacity
- You will be passionate about psychedelics and personal development
- You will be comfortable to work autonomously and as a true partner overseeing all BAU operations for Satori over time
- The goal of this partnership is for you to own and help structure all Satori operations and for our CEO Carina, to primarily focus on Vision, Strategy, IP Development, Networking, PR and Branding
- You will have the ability to inspire and build a global team
Traits you need to have to ensure it’s a fit:- Passion! Our goal is nothing less than to transform people’s lives and break down the stigma surrounding psychedelics. If you don’t have a passion for psychedelics this is not the role for you
- Light-speed learner. Everyday the company is growing and evolving, and so will your role. The company we become and the impact you have in the world will be up to YOU!
- Be okay with making mistakes. We are all learning and mistakes are the byproduct of doing something new. Making them is part of the journey, but dwelling on them is not
- Creative pragmatism. Ideas are great, but only if they can be executed
